Hello all - as a nerdy chicken farmer I created an Excel file to track my girls...If you're interested you can take a peek at the attached image. To define some columns: 1). The "sigma" symbol is the total qty of eggs each girl has laid 2). "TDL" = Total Days Laying = the number of days between today and the first day she laid (in other words, maximum # of laying days) 3). EPD = Eggs per Day = the % of days she could have laid that she actually DID lay (in other words, #1 above divided by #2 above). Just FYI in case you want to visualize your flock. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but this is my attempt at it...

I love the looks of this file. I am interested in using such a file for breeding records. They would include production but be focused on matings and pedigree. Does anyone do this? Especially, does anyone have Excel calculate the inbreeding coefficient of matings? I am VERY interested in that but my Excel skill are crude and I probably can't do it on my own.
