Not at all. Here is a good video. There are two things I do different. I put my eggs in glass jars and I use pickling lime. It says pickling lime but it does not pickle the eggs. I don't like the lime she uses in this video, while it is the same as the pickling lime, pickling lime is sold in smaller pouches and makes more sense for me
ETA that I do not have a kitchen scale so I researched and found that 4 level TBSP equals the 1oz of lime needed. So it's 4 level TBSP to 1 quart of filtered water
