If you were standing around in a circle, it would work the same way. Everyone wants the item for the cheapest amount they can get it for, but everyone has a set "high" price in their mind they are willing to pay.

Person #1 isnt going to tell Person #2 the most they are willing to pay is $16, because they would LIKE to only pay $10. Kudos to Person #1 if they bluff #2 out and get a "discount" because #2 stopped bidding.

Person #1 isnt going to tell the seller they are willing to pay $16, because the seller wants to get the most amount of money for their product possible.

The online auction system works just like a normal auction, except people don't have to stand around to bid. Their "high" price is already in the system. Just like ebay.

I am not so sure that is how it works. Check out the "bid history" It looks like I keep bidding against myself. And although, I have always bid just .25 cents more then the "current" bid, each time it says I have been out bid. And the bid at 12:21 comes up with a new amount. (At first, I could not figure out how Nava, was bidding against me so FAST!) So the current bid is not listed. It says that it is, but apparently we cannot see what the current bid is at this time....... I guess we have to keep up the bidding!!!

But Nava could have put in $100 as her Max bid. That would mean the system auto bids above your last $.25 increase. You will need to bid over her Maximum bid to be the highest current bidder.

If you look in the bid history, Nava put in 30.50 ---you have been bidding under her max bid this whole time.

Next offer must be $ 30.75 or above​

Right, because I don't know what her max bid is. Look again, I just put in 30.75. It shows up, that I have been out bid. Her bid moved up, and it is at the same time 12:21. I guess the point is that I don't know what the total of the top bid is.....

That is to say: it protects Nava's (and yours) privacy.

nava you know Kat has very nice chickens. I have a pair I'm growing up right now. Very pretty. I just love them they come right up to the gate wanting treats. Kat does have chicks and pairs for sale too. Best of luck bidding to everyone.
