Exchequer Leghorn or Ancona??

I bought these chicks from the feed store a few weeks back and I'm raising them up for a friend. They are about 5 weeks old at this point. I bought them as Ancona chicks but looking at pictures online just now I'm wondering if they may be Exchequer Leghorns? Or do both breeds look really similar at this age?









The pictures are from different days a week or so apart.


What is the difference between the two, what should I look for?

aint heard of a feed store carrying exchequer leghorns before, but it might be possible

They look like Ancona chicks to me, though both breeds do look very similar. As they feather out more, they should feather primarily dark with pieces of white. If they are leghorns, they will be mostly white with splotches of black.
