Hi Everyone!
My family is on week 4 of raising our little chicks: 3 Buff Orpingtons and 3 Silver laced Wyandottes. This weekend we're starting our plans to make our own chicken tractor coop. So far, so good! We live in Augusta, GA ,in a nice subdivision (with a nice, high fence so no one can see that we have a few hens!) and we're trying as a family to be more Earth conscious and self-sufficient - which for us means learning to recycle, garden, compost and now our chickens!! The chicks are about out of their awkward teenage chick/hen phase and are very friendly and like to be held and petted. With the weather warming up, we hope to get their coop done and get them out in the yard in a couple more weeks! BTW - I LOVE this site!!
