Hello BYC!
I’m new to having my own chickens even though growing up we had chickens. We are currently in the planning/prepping for new chicks! We are planning on getting about 12 chicks and I’m still doing some research into what breeds I want but I have some ideas. My hubby wants max egg producers but I want high egg production with fairly docile and friendly chickens as we have kids.
I have undiagnosed adhd and possibly autism (working on getting diagnosed) so I have a ton of different hobbies. I currently do crochet, knitting, book binding, leather work, tie dye, painting, cooking, D&D, scrapbooking, sewing, screen printing, cricut making stuff etc.
I’m 40 with a hubby and 4 kids ages 18, 16, 8 and almost 6. I work as an in home caregiver for disabled and elderly people. We currently have two dogs and my oldest has two cats. My 16 year old is a soccer player and we are busy with traveling for soccer. Three of my four kids are diagnosed with ADHD and autism.
I was doing a search on chicken info and BYC came up and had a ton of great info so I joined BYC.

Hi and welcome, thanks for joining! My GS was dx'd ADHD and mildy autistic, made life interesting when he joined our family at age 6. I didn't have a clue and I'm bipolar! 
But we survived. He's 18 now, I'm 71. He enjoys preaching and plans to go into computer science. Chickens are my thing, not his. You have a beautiful family! Browse around and make yourself at home!
