I've heard, and I think it even says on feathersite, that these crosses aren't very hardy and don't live for long, especially if they look more chickeny than guinea-y. I think they're gorgeous . . . am I in the minority? But then, I've always liked the looks of vultures, NNs, muscovies, and guineas. I never see the "ugly" in these breeds that others talk about. Good luck in getting some crosses!
I'd almost get one just to have it in the yard so passerby would freak out.. hahaha!! Especially since they're putting a little league field in across the street... MUAHAHA!! Is that evil?? Haha!!
Thank you for saying that, I agree, vulture, how funny, I have just laughed and can't imagine having a turken (not downing them!!!PLZ) but the cross is a hoot. You may not be able to breed them, but perhaps someone could share the fertile eggs to those that want them. I find it most interesting that eggs are sent through the mail! Its a cool sight, thank you, to everyone for sharing your back yards!
