Excited !!!!! Roll Out Box

Its been a long time since Ive posted. But my hens started eating their eggs

I didnt realize the extent of it until I built a roll out nest box. I was getting 1-5 eggs a day before the nest box overhaul. I removed the old std nesting boxes and put my new roll out box in place. They didnt want to lay in it to start will. So I put straw in it and raised the drapes on the front. A couple of days of that and they were laying right along with the new box. Yesterday I got 28 eggs

Ill have to post pics of the new box when I get a chance. I feel much better about my chickens now LOL..

Did you buy or make the roll out boxes? I'd like to see pictures. Congratulations!!!! That's a huge difference!

I made the boxes. Ill try to get some pics. I build houses for a living so I picked up alot scrap lumber etc...... Ive got around 20 bucks invested in the 4 hole box. I made the bottom so that I can pull it out and keep it clean. The plus to this is the eggs are very clean
