You live close about an hour drive maybe a little more. I always have extra Chickens.
 
Really where abouts do u live, I'm surprised someone recognized the town name lol. What kinds of birds do have ?
 
So I know I want a mixed flock and I already have a few breeds I'm set on, I have this thing where I want them in 2s, but does it really matter? if the breeds are friendly one won't be left out not having a double right?
 
It's usually best if you get all your breeds(chicks?) at the same time so they grow up together and don't have the integration issues of young ones added to an older, established flock.
 
Yes I recognized the town You are off the 15 going towards Barstow. I have some Pure Breed Chickens and a mixed flock That I have bred for egg colors. I can post some pictures later after I take some new ones. Then I can tell you which chickens have which breeds in them as I keep track.
 
I'm planning on buying all my pullets at once, in starting out small, 8 birds. Now I just need to figure out which. I'm in it for egg production so, I've narrowed down my breeds from there, plus took into acct that it does get pretty cold and brutal hot where I'm at. Kinda researching the EE s right now but I'm not sure yet.
 
Well good luck figuring out what breeds you want, I know that is always a hard decision as there are so many great choices out there. My mixed flock is made up of my own crossing Verson of an EE by ( crossing a Legbar Rooster into my flock) here are some of my recent eggs.
