Excuse me Mr. Rooster..

I have a chicken that had begun to crow in the am, but never does anymore. He'd only crow a few times in the early am and never after. He kinda sounded like Berry White. All deep voiced, not a high pitched like the roo houses down that constantly crows. Ehat would make him stop crowing? He's healthy and silly.

Do you only have one rooster? If you have more than one rooster, could be the dominant rooster is intimidating him.

Or he may be incubating a disease.

Or he simply may have nothing to crow about.

He IS the dominant. I do have another roo that is smaller and follows him everywhere.

He is a spunky guy, follows me when I walk thru the yard. He expects me to have treats. He will even sit beside me on the porch.
