Hello everyone! I have an issue that I hope someone can help me with! I raised four chicks from a very early age until now. They are 4-5 months of age. I unfortunately had to re-home 2 of them because they turned out to be roosters. I live within city limits and roosters are a no no... Anyway, I brought home a new chicken, a Speckled Sussex. She is roughly the same age as my current chickens. The issue I have is that my existing chickens are scared of the new girl in town... Everywhere the new chicken goes, my other chickens go the other way... When they go into the coop, my existing chickens go into the coop while the new girl hands out in the run (where the food and water is). The new girl has pecked at the other two occasionally, when they come within reach. My question is, will they ever get used to each other? Is there something that I can do to help that along? Please help!! Thanks!
