Good morning all,

I'd like to live vicariously through all of you that keep quail species that are considered "non-domestic", so basically anything but Cortunix and Buttons that I affectionately refer to as 'vermin'. lol I've kept Bobwhites in the past as well as Chukar but I've always loved Texas Blue Scale, Gambell, Valley, and the other more 'wild' quail species. So come on and show me those awesome birds and their amazing aviaries/flights so I don't feel the need to get them myself. 😂

I currently only have one california quail. His mate died, so I'd love to get him another, but they're hard to find here. He lives with my golden pheasants and some of my other quails.

Yes, I've bred and worked with a variety of finches, softbills, passerines, and hookbills so I'm familiar with crests. Quail are kind of unique with one little feather up there. :love

Hey! I know this thread is older, but I hope we can revive it a bit! I know some people with wild-type quail too that I can tag!

Oh that is SO cool!!! Those are stunning birds! Did you work at a zoo or something?! Or did you breed/raise them all yourself? Those Starlings are super pretty. I hate the European ones, always pooping on everything and trashing my wood duck nest boxes. Lol. If the ones here were that pretty, I may be more forgiving. 😂
