Expanding my flock with adult chickens...how old are they?

Any Guesses On How Old My Chickens Are?

It is really hard to tell the age of a chicken. Once they reach adult size and start laying or crowing. The feathers don't tell because they lose them every and regrow them every year. Some roosters spurs grow quickly others slow and have they been trimmed? So all I can tell you about the age of yours is that they are sexulally mature, say over 20 weeks, they could be much older.

As For The Spurs, They Are Very Smooth And Round Little Nubs. Thank You for The Info though...Im New To Raising Chickens On My Own. Just Didn't Know If There Were Milestones To Determine Approximate Age. I Guess Im REALLY Excited To Get Silkie Chicks...lol
