Expecting 8!

Thanks McPherson! I originally started with 14, thinking with a crappy incubator, I would screw things up! Some were infertile, one slipped and fell first week, and 2 I thought were infertile, weren't. Oops! Darn dark shells! Love the dorking eggs for candling though!

How many eggs do you have set? I hope you see something by day 7 too! Good luck!

I have 8 Rouen in now started them a week early and tomorrow going in I have 8 silkie/frizzle, 16 Americauna and 17 RIR!!!

Good one Sally! Lol! Winters can be pretty tough up here sometimes though. I have a fenced yard for them in winter & no predator has gotten them there. So far, only had to keep all doors closed once this season. Yesterday was frickin' freezing! Today I opened bird door & some of them soaked up the sun awhile. Was -20 degrees Celsius today. In other words, pretty freakin' cold, but not as much as yesterday! Lol!

All right Jmanvanatta! Did you candle today? Is that why you think only 4 or 5 will hatch?
You like real butter on that popcorn? Lol!

Wow, McPherson! That's quite a load! Nice assortment too!
I'll be getting 4 Ameraucanas from a hatchery this spring. I know they'll most likely be EEs, is ok though.

Yeah we shall see what I get as they are all shipped except for the Silkie/Frizzle eggs. How can you tell the difference between EEs and true AMericaunas?

me also! HAHA 3 look like they may hatch on saturday, and 1 looks like its a few days behind.

So, when I candled my Rouen duck eggs I saw veins in 1/8 but they were only on the top half of the egg, the bottom half is clear??? Is this bad or good or????
