Expecting chicken mom

Hi. I’m new to raising backyard chickens and I’m new to this group. So happy to be able to read all your stories. I don’t receive my babies until the end of August, but I’m so super excited. My husband and I retired last year and I have a desire to still be needed, lol, so we decided to raise chickens. Plus the fact I love fresh chicken eggs. We are building our own coop and I’m sure we will need advice. It’s a 4 x 6 coup and at this time will enjoy 6 little chicks! Thank you.
