My EE had a bend under toe and I put a splint on it for overnite. It is kinda straight now, but not perfect. I hope it will be ok. People on the forum say she might be a while EE?

I hope we all have our chicks now!

I love all the pictures! I'll have to see if I can get some better ones soon. My son is SOOOO sad we're not keeping all of ours (ok, I am too. But I know that I don't want 12 -14 chickens right now. 5 or 6 would be good)

how is everyone babies doing so far? i had one just standing alone peeping like crazy.. they are having a hard time with the chick crumbles .. peices are little large but they are working on it.. so the loud peeper seemed hungry so i cooked an egg yolk.. talk about feeding frenzy!!!!! oh my they are soooo cute.. they all fought and jumped to get to the little bits of yolk.. i would highly recommend it.. it must be good for them since they just got done absorbing one.. i don't hear a peep at all.. i think they are sleeping with full bellies. hope all your babies are doing great!........linda

Mine are doing great. I went out and watched them for an hour after I put my kids to bed.

I'd be out there right now, but my 18 month old and 4 month old clammering to get the best view really freaks the older ones out and it's not great for the little ones either. I cleaned one pasty butt off a leghorn last night and one off a cochin this morning. Nothing bad, and it might not even have been pasted up because it came off so easy. But better safe than sorry. They all seem to be eating and drinking well, and it just kills me watching them flop over asleep. I had strawberries and sugar this morning for breakfast and I REALLY wanted to give my strawberry greens to my chicks BUT I don't have any grit or sand, so I just had to compost it

Oh I forgot to add: I let my 18 month old and my 4 year old put plain yogurt on their fingers and feed the chicks their treat that way this morning. They just about died (my girls, not the chicks) they had so much fun!!!!
