It depends on your area. In my area quality bantams and gamefowl fetch the most money.

So if I wanted to maybe make a little bit of money, what breed would you recommend for starters. Do you sell them as chicks or full grown chickens?

Bantams: D'Uccle, OEGB, D'anver

Standard: Orpington, australorp and polish

$10 is cheap for a good quality, rare breed. I sell six week old chicks for $15 for a cockerel, $20 for a pullet. My prices will go up even higher as my quality gets better.
