Hey y'all!

I'm setting eggs in my Brinsea Mini II tomorrow, and wanted to see if anyone else has used this bator before and had issues I need to keep in mind. I'm using the small egg insert.

TIA!

I have a Brinsea Mini Advance. I bought it because it had excellent reviews and I'd rather have a very small hatch without issues, than a large incubator that isn't accurate. I'm very happy I chose this incubator.
I've only used it once this past summer. I put in 7 eggs pulled one that wasn't fertile. The other 6 hatched.
I ran mine dry until day 18 because I live in a very humid area and it was holding at around 38 to 40% with no water.
It held the temperature well. I pulled the chicks 2 at a time as they hatched because it got very crowded. I set a video camera up so that mine grands could watch. The viewing area was great.
Good luck with your hatch.

I had great hatch rates! The only issue I had was the water would drop so I'd use a flashlight to see the water level. I did sell it, found it too small but I loved that you had great viewing.
What did you set?

My friend's chickens ended up missing a day, so I'm going to have to set Sunday. I'm doing a dozen Mille Fleur d'Uccles. I'm so excited!

I live in SE Louisiana, do I need to maintain humidity? I'm going to order a hygrometer today.

I'm in east Texas so not too much difference in our ambient humidity and temperature.
I would get a hygrometer. I bought two. One from the pet store in the reptile department and another from Amazon. I did calibrate them using the salt method. There isn't room in the incubator for one with the eggs set, so I ran mine for 3 days before setting the eggs with both hygrometers in there.
I also bought a small kitchen scale and weighed all my eggs each time I candled.

What can I do?!
