experience with Metzer farm?

Hi all! I have always thought metzer farm was very good with all of their birds, so I decided to order from them. After a month of waiting I was so anxious to get my 4 baby geese I ordered. They never came. They should've came today but something went wrong I guess.. My heart breaks to think they have now went almost 4 days tomorrow in a box. They had very little food on there way here and no water.(they had the GroGel shipped in the box with them) I wonder where they are right now.. I should be getting them tomorrow due to something not being right. They have been in a hot box for days and are probably starving and are dying of thirst. I'm scared to see what will be arriving at the post office tomorrow, well if I even get anything now. I hate to say this but it's probably true.. They will most likely be dead tomorrow if they aren't already.

I think metzer farms shipped them ok, but some place on the way screwed up and didn't do their job right....

does anybody know the policy at metzers farm if you get a bird that is the incorrect gender that you ordered?

and has any one got a duck or goose that was the rough gender?

I don't know their policy on that, specifically but I expect that if you call them they'll work with you. They were very responsive to my emails and a phone call before I was even a customer and once to fix an issue with my order as I had put in the wrong number of ducklings.

I think.ducklings and chicks survive for the first fourty eight hours on the yolk they are still absorbing from hatching thats why they are able to ship.them. With little food or water. Mine took two days maybe even longer to get to.me with out food water or that gel stuff and all but one were happy and healthy the one just neededa little extra tlc i was worried he wasnt going.to make it but he came around just fine

I ordered 5 cayugas and 5 rouens from them,took 2 days shipping. They all arrived healthy and they added an extra Cayuga.They're about 5 weeks old now and growing like weeds!
