Hello all. I am a new member of BYC, but I am a long-time reader and I've kept chickens for 10+ years. My current flock of 11 includes 2 Light Brahmas, 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks, 1 Rhode Island Red all now 3 years old, and creeping up on 1 year old I have 1 Exchequer Leghorn, 1 Black Ameraucana, 1 Black Copper Marans, 2 Wheaten Olive Eggers, and 1 Splash Ameraucana rooster. In addition to caring for my flock, I have a wonderful and patient husband, I work full-time, and run a YouTube channel, Patty's Garden Feathers. I livestream my flock on YouTube to share the enjoyment of watching chickens be chickens as they spend their day in the coop and run space. I am expanding my chicken adventure to include hatching and selling chicks and younger started birds locally. I love to help others and am always willing to answer questions and help others on their chicken-keeping journey. My primary goal of chicken keeping is eggs and entertainment, but I am also experienced in processing chickens for meat use.
