I am helping my mother and brother who live on farms in Newton, Illinois. I was born and raised there but live in Florida. My parents have raised birds (chickens, pheasants and quails) all my life. I would estimate almost 50 years. My mom has an incubator and loves to hatch the eggs. It keeps her busy on the farm. I am just assisting them in getting the word out about their quails so she can make room for more. She just started raising the Georgia Extra Large Bob White Quails and everyone loves them since they are so much more larger than the average ones.

If you really wants some huge quail, try raising Butler Bobwhites, they are about half again the size of Georgia Giant Bobwhites, they are the biggest of the Bobwhites. Some of the ones I raise are 30oz. almost 2lbs quail. Photo of a male next to a grown pheasant for size comparison.
