i was thinking of buying some reeves and golden hatvching eggs but the last batch of ringneck eggs i bought.and out if 12 eggs i only hatched 2 retared little baby's that ate shavings and anything else they could eat when they escaped their box somehow.anyways i was wondering if anyone has had a good hatch with shipped eggs

i do not like to sell hatching eggs and dont like to get hatching eggs i know lots of people do it but to me its risky. i personal experience i had valley quial eggs that i got from some one, had 100 eggs only hatched 10. If you really must get eggs get them from a respected person that as positive feed back and is a stand up person some people only have one thing in mind and thats profit, someone who is in it for the birds never thinks about profit first the probelm with eggs is they can be doctered ,never even be fertile and mis handled and maybe even from another speices so be wery of hatching eggs ,better luck if you could get started chicks possible

I ship eggs all over the country with good results. Yes there are failures, but also many success stories. It is a risk, but you can often get variety for way less. Things to look for are reputable folks with experience shipping (avoid the backyard deals) and look for folks that have multiple genetic lines, so all of your hatchlings aren't related. Hatching pheasants in itself is more difficult than chickens. But....it is fun, and rewarding.
