Hi everybody, so the story is basically I ordered 8 turkey eggs from a breeder here in Italy (shipped), unfortunately only 6 were intact at delivery. The breeder offered to add some eggs to another order I had placed with him which will get shipped on the 15th of June, for 14 Muscovy duck eggs. Since the Bator I was gonna use only holds 8 eggs, I want to use the other one I have which is a DIY one that can hold up to 200 eggs. As you might imagine, the cost to run that for 35 days are kinda high, so my idea was to collect eggs from my couple of khaki Campbell ducks from tomorrow or so (about 1 egg per day) up to a week after the Muscovy ducks will go in the incubator, so that they should all hatch together. Do you think that will work? I keep my eggs in the mid 60s F* (talking storage temps) and I turn them 2/3 times a day (Still storage).

Oh wow. I don't know much about hatching eggs but that sounds fun I guess 😅 What are you planning to do with them once they hatch?
The idea is to keep a Muscovy male and all the females that hatch plus maybe 3 or 4 female khakis. The rest I’m gonna try to sell them online (through something like Craigslist but for Italy lol) and if I can’t find anyone I’ll either gift them to my grandpa whose layers are getting old or just harvest their meat.

Right now I already have 2 ducklings that were hatched by one of my chickens as an experiment, but those were already sold before they were even born lol, but mama hen is still doing a terrific job raising them :)

60s? No where close to hatching temp.

Sounds like a good plan. You'll have to send some pictures of them once they hatch
