I dropped an egg in the bator the other night while turning them, could NOT find who it fell on though!

was candling everything tonight to get out the bad eggs and found it! was one of my duck eggs. had a quarter sized spider crack in it BUT was still growing, all the veins were good.

i just read on here the other day about sealing cracks with wax, glue and i have used band aids when i dyed some eggs, SOOO....

the only wax i could find was a white crayon, lol. i melted it onto the whole crack and spread it around to cover & seal everything.

i can't wait to see if it worked, this is the first time ive ever been excited about a broken egg, lol.

I always cut a piece of sandwich bag the size of the crack and then use scotch tape and completely tape the plastic down. I have only lost one cracked and have hatched about 6, 2 ducks and 4 chicks.

Good luck

Hope the little bugger hatches for you. If it does you should name it something like wonder or miracle.

Checked the egg again tonight...Still Growing!!

it's growth is a little behind when compared to the other eggs put in with it. but there was good movement and great veining still!!
