We had a single Buff Braham Bantam that was desperately lonely, and broody, since the death of her companion. I purchased bantam eggs from Heavenly Springs and over the weekend our bantam hatched 4 of the eggs. She is very happy and such a good caring mother hen. It was just what she needed. I stilll can't believe we really pulled it off, I mean ordering fertilized eggs of the internet and putting them under a broody hen!? My friends, non-chicken people, thought we were crazy. And the chicks are absulutely precious! Miracles do happen!

Boy, you had great luck with that. I'd be afraid the hen would quit being broody before the eggs arrived. Maybe it helps that she was depressed.
