Expertise needed- my friends weird store-bought eggs......?!

Hi all! Happy new year and hope you’re all good.

My friend bought some supermarket eggs and when he cracked 3 of them open they were like this inside He says he always fastidiously checks all eggs for damage before cracking them and that they definitely were not damaged in any way. What do you think. Anyone experienced this before?

He may not have seen the cracks, but the eggs were damaged, tiny cracks which allowed mold or whatever that is to grow.

Yep I totally agree, hairline cracks he didn't notice.. he was just soo adamant that he checked! Thanks for your reply.

If he has more from the same carton, tell him to candle them. He might be able to see the fine hairline cracks.
