Expired Posts

I am sure I am doing something wrong so please advise. When I do an advanced search for "Ducks to be Rehomed" it pulls up everything from 2009 to present. Is there any way to only read current posts. I am sure that people who had ducks in 2009 no longer have the animals. You have to search every post to find the ones that are recent. Aren't the posts deleted after a certain amount of time?

When you do an advance search you can check "Relevence" or "Recency" at the top of the results as shown below ~
