Hi y’all, I bought Tylan 50 in March of this year, and I didn’t realize but the expiration date was for March of 2023, now I need it agian and find out that it is expired🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Is it still good? I mean it’s an antibiotic? Can it go bad? It’s been in my fridge since March, so it’s never been stored at like room temperature. Just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else before, and what y’all’s thoughts were.
Thanks

I did keep it in is little box 📦

Most people don't use it properly, as in they don't give it often enough and they don't give enough of it.

The chicken dose is 50 mg per pound. 50 mg is 1 ml.

So a 5 lb chicken would get 5 ml. But it works best if you give it several times a day, so divide 5 ml by the number of times per day that you can give it and that is your dose if you're treating a 5 lb chicken.

And give it orally because giving it by injection in the breast can cause injection site necrosis.

I always do injections, have not had any problems so far. Injections work faster
