expressions or tems that you should not say:

People who say Can I aks you a quessun?

Please don't AX me, but you may certainly ask me anything!

There is a pop song that starts out with the singer saying , "I gotta aks 'em." My daughters find that hysterically funny and run around pretending to ax people.

Um I have moved a LOT in my life, MT, WA, WY, AZ, MN yeah and every region has different vocabulary issues! Up here in MN they add "ya know?" to the end of EVERY sentence whether or not I actually do KNOW!

Mine says "You stepped in what?"

You two had me laughing so hard I cried. I'm going to borrow both of these for future use. I love them - I can just see the look on faces now.

I guess it depends on where you are... Here in Ontario we dont say "EH!" much or hear it much...or "aboot"...but down in Newfoundland you will hear "aboot" a lot and alot them calling the trunk of a car a boot

Not really the topic but still funny.

In the past, some men did not have first and middle names, just initials: R B Jones

This appeared in a Reader's Digest years ago. Mr. R B Jones had to fill out a government form; this is how he put his name:

R(only) B(only) Jones

So, of course, he received a letter saying: "Dear Mr. Ronly Bonly Jones

Pres. Harry S Truman said the initial "S" does not have a period after it because it was his middle name.

Yes, Lunachick, loved the diners. When DH and I dated, he took me there after a movie for pie and coffee. His parents lived near a diner on Hwy. 22.

I live within about 3 hours of the Canadian border. It's amazing how quickly the "ay"s and "aboot"s show up in speech once you cross the border into British Columbia, Canada.
