It's what ya get for being in the south! Haha.
Here's some things I can't stand:
- Irregardless.
- "I seen it" It's I SAW it!
- Mixing up 'then' and 'than', as well as the other ones like the your/you're and there/their/they're.
- Run-on sentences!
- Axing questions, like speckledhen mentioned.
-"Kinda" and "sorta". Now when you're talking, it's fine, but when you're typing, I prefer to see "kind OF" and "sort OF" - the correct ways.
- When people type "ya" or "yea" instead of "yeah". I do believe that H is supposed to be on the end!
Also saying the two in place of "yay". "Yea" sounds like "pea" or "tea" to me
(hey that rhymes!). Also if you're going to say 'ya', you can at least put an H on the end to make it look a little more intelligent "
- "I no"
- Like is okay, just not when you like use it like every other word, like yeah.
- NO PUNCTUATION. Commas are quite wonderful, no? I don't use a whole lot of semi colons but I do occasionally when I see the need to. I can stand all lower-case sentences a little better than a whole paragraph made of one giant, long run-on sentence.
I was also going to say something about "same difference" (I say that a lot now that I think of it, but it kind of makes sense as to why you'd say it, if you think about it) BUT I went and typed "same" so much, now it looks funny and looks like I can't spell!
So I deleted it, haha.
ANYWAY, I'm done complaining
