We placed all 4 chicks under our broody hen who is currently sitting on 4 eggs from a mix of our flock last night. To be determined if we take them and incubate them they are prob due in 10 days….it Went so smooth lastnight and this morning ! got some pics to share today! The little buff bantam silkies are the ones that were shipped from the sweet chicken homestead they are the only 2 out of 22! Shipping was horrible for these those are the two I was so concerned about. The other two the all white n blue are kiwis (broody polish white silky) and fly by nights baby’s pics below. We think fly by night is an EE or Americana mixed with a moonbeam…. He was dropped off at our little farm…. He n kiwi had two completly different silky mixed babies as you can see….

So cute. The mama will probably only sit another day or two then she will get up off the eggs she has been sitting on.

We have the incubator set up n ready incase. I checked the development of each of the 4 eggs today n they seem to be around 10-13 days. The truth is we dont exactly know how old they are and if I bring them in I won’t know lockdown date…. We also live in Las Vegas where the temp
Is 95 hardly any humidity n I don’t want to bother the process of them. It’s possibly sprinkles would take them over if she gave up ….I’m This works but we are prepared to bring them inside.

Oh this is kiwis bestie sprinkles who coops with her (spring hatch) helps watch the eggs when kiwi gets food n water ….she has also accepted the babies we placed last night ; )
