External Vent????

Sorry if this is redundant, couldnt find it on search. I have a black sex link with its vent hanging out about 4 inches. Will I be able to help this adorable and producing hen or is she bbq?

It's called prolapse, and is very serious.
I'll attach a link with some advice about treating it. Pay attention to #16.

Keep her in a dim, quiet place to discourage laying. You will need to clean it up and gently push it back in, using Prep H or honey.
You probably will need antibiotics.

Update: It seems that it went back in (up) all by itself within 15 minutes after she dropped a yolk only (no shell)on the lawn. She been playing, eating and drinking with the other chickens all day. We will keep a close eye on her (she's one of the favorites!) and if it happens again we will definately try all the tips we just read.
