What do you do when you order from a hatchery and have a surplus of bantam roosters?

Need I say more?

They're just packing peanuts to keep the other birds warm. You can sell them off, or do whatever else you want to do with them.

I'd do exactly what the picture says. Only, as my five year old nephew informed me, "You have to cut off the feathers and the feet first."

I had 13 roos out of 25 with my bantams last summers. My nephew killed & ate 12 roosters. I kept a lucky one. These were Plymoouth Rock bantams, so not large, but larger than some. He sais they were really good!

Sold some, have so far kept a few "spares." They might be moving on soon, though, coop's a bit crowded. They're fairly inoffensive, though.

*pats, hands them a mop to clean up their brain*

Long cold evenings in the darkness of the Colorado plains is perfect time to curl up on the couch and watch an anime.
