The bantam boys have found a new home on a local farm, it’s not the first or the second one that I was in touch with, but at least two of them- one at 17 weeks is a “little” (🤣) aggressive- and the farmer said she may pass him on to a woman she know who will take her extras. Luckily, for them and me she loves bantams. They’ve landed in a pair of soft and callused hands. She knows what she’s doing. The other seven boys she was gathering up today rode in the back of the truck, but the bantams got a ride on the back seat. 💗

I’m learning and feel grateful to have gone through this process. It’s been good to learn about cockerels in a flock up to this 17 week mark, to talk to all the folks I did to learn how to find their new home, and gain the confidence I have to this point.

My girls seem to understand the boys are gone.

Thank you everyone here for all the great advice! When I decide to add to the flock, I’m going to be extra careful about sexing.
