extra chicks!!!???

I ordered 16 chicks from Ideal: 6 golden sebrights, 6 white silkies, 1 rir, 1 br, 1 ba, and 1 ee. They sent us an extra silkie

(so 17 birds; so there's no confusion)

if you order 25 females will they throw in an extra male

I ordered 6 females from MPC, and got exactly 6. And from the rate and evenness at which they are feathering, and lack of any pink combs (yet) it looks like their 90% was 100% for me.

I ordered 42 from Cackle Hatchery. They shipped 49--I lost 2 brahmas I ordered during transit.

They sent me 7 extra, though I still don't know why. And I think I've figured out that all 7 are Delawares. Now if just a couple of those are girls!!
