Extra Eggs and high traffic

I have a hen sitting on 6 eggs. She is 3 days in and doing fine but my problem is that I have two other hens that run her off her nest once a day to lay. After they lay she gets back on the nest. I have two other nest boxes but they all prefer the same one. Im afraid if they keep running her up and I keep moving her around to get the new eggs out she might decide to quit sitting. Any suggestions.

I had the same problem a few days ago. I created a new private space for the broody hen and moved her in. The other hens wanted to join her in there, too. The problem went away when I put golf ball in the regular nest boxes. Now the other hens are leaving the broody hen alone. Good luck with yours!

This is why many on here separate the broody til the eggs hatch.

My nest-boxes are independent and moveable.

I just moved the nest-box my broody hen was using. I moved it into a "dog-igloo" in a separate fenced area. She did fine. No bother from other hens.

It worked good for me.
