Extra protein after a molt?

My two hens just finished their fall molt and I want to give them a little protein boost as they reform their feathers. Is this a good idea? Any suggestions for what kind of treat?

Hardboiled egg makes a great protein supplement. That's what I'm using now for our molting flock. You can also feed mealworms, and some people feed catfood, but that's a somewhat controversial subject.
