what do you all do with extra roos...other than eat them? Can they live peacefully in their own cage without any hens to fight over?

My young excess roos (6 weeks old) are doing great together so far but i always make sure to observe htem when im up at the pens just to make sure no ones being mean....when they are then i'll have to separate into smaller groups. They do try to mate eachother from time to time though lol.

you could trade lets say some Tuxedo roo's for some brownies

Thats good to know.

My batch of 18 is 4 weeks and my first time sexing them I suspected there were only 3 roos in the bunch but more have appeared as roos now.

I'd cook you some Niki, but they'd never make it outta the post office (hubby used to work there, and they all have had my cooking), box would be lost in shipping....

From what little I know, you can expect that cockerels will eventually turn their bachelor living into some sort of combat zone. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground on this matter, from what I've heard.

The way I understand it, they will live together in relative harmony if NO hens are near. But let females come within earshot of tightly confined males and they will get stupid, real fast.
