Extra Toenail???

Alrighty...

One of my silkies has grown an extra toenail. He wasn't born with it. He has great spacing on his toes...

I think it isn't a DQ... is this correct?

Also, does anyone have any experience with whether this is a genetic thing that will pass on or just a fluke?

He is truly perfect otherwise... ho... hum...

I have no idea.

But maybe he damaged his food and made the original toe nail split and look like it is growing two..

It's more like a 'knuckle nail' it's not where it should be....
