We are new to geese and my new baby (2 months old) appears to have an extra set of wings. They are not attached to his actual wings, they stick out of his sides and appear to be upside down. Any ideas, it does not fit the descritpions I have seen for "angel wings" since they are not attached...

Geese will get a large solid looking fringe of feathers in the wing area. The feathers are attached to the body, but they do look like an extra wing.

I suggest that you catch you gosling and see where those feathers are attached.

I took your suggestion and got real close and it does appear to be the end of his wings, so any suggestions what to do now? Will he be ok if we just leave him alone? I just don't want him to be in pain or have any issues later on....Sorry if I seem silly, it's our first time with geese and we lost our flock of chickens to bears last year so I'm trying not to traumatize the kids with any further issues that may arise....
