Hi all,
I recently began keeping quail. My seven hens have a large outdoor ground aviary that sits in a shaded corner of my yard. My hens have been ok with the heat, as the highest we have had is about 105. I make sure then have fresh cold water, and they just dig down to the dirt or hang out in their sand pit.
I live in the central valley of CA and it is supposed to reach near or over 110, consistently, next week. Should I bring them indoors (garage), or is there something else I may be able to do to keep them safe?
Thanks all!
