Extreme Wry Neck!

Smoothie: Spinach, water, honey (or sugar will do not too much though...maybe 4 tea spoons for a whole litre at most...is what I am doing) this is all you need and then feed it with your dropper (just as much as it will take). if you do it right you can get the chicks to think their beak is in water and they will open their beak and u put it in their mouth easier but becarful you dont drown them! they can inhale the water by mistake

Paste: chick crumb (or whatever you feed them), splash of water, 25mcg selenium, 500IU vit E mix into a nice paste. and hold on a BIG lump of it on a spoon. (so it can see it and get it, our little one is loving the paste!)
I am basically feeding a paste wet crumbles with scrambled egg or oatmeal that i scoop up with the spoon lots easier since it's 3 weeks and not newly hatched. I now cut my vit e tablet and pour the fluid on top of the spoon and take the dropper and mix i do that first thing in the morning but feed him the same mash all day, start over next day with new batch. I also give Rocky B complex water by spoon he loves it and then just reg water also by spoon. Do wry neck birds typically sleep so often when your feeding them, he sure does probably every other peck he gets tired. It's cute....He seems to be a fighter that's why I named him Rocky after Rocky Balboa....

I had one hatch out about a month ago with wry neck!
brought him inside with a heating pad, got some poultry nutri-drench mixed and fed him with a dropper and in a weeks time he was back out with momma!
it’s been 3 weeks and he barely shows any sign of wry neck!!

How much water is a baby chick susposed to get ? If feeding with dropper... how often... should I be trying to get it to drink ? Just got my chicks from myer... and one has wry neck pore thing...

I just put as much as the dropper could hold without drowning the chick. We fed him about every 30 min at first then every hr and progressed from there. I would give him the nutri drench and swap up with water until he acted like he wanted no more!
