-okay- so i got my second batch of eggs from a friend on wednesday may 30th. i was told they were 10 days old at that time and had been incubating under the mother. by that logic today would be their 23rd day. i have been rolling them 3 times daily since i got them 13 days ago. this morning when i went to turn them i swore i heard peeping but i thought i was just crazy (lol) i went to turn them just now and noticed TWO of the eggs have little beak holes where they had chipped a crack in the shell... WHAT DO I DO NOW?? lol i opened the second air vent. should i stop turning all of the eggs or just the ones who have shown signs of hatching? do the cracks in the eggs need to stay facing up? ANY info is so greatly appreciated. i had only one poult out of the 20 1st batch make it and i was really hoping this batch would be more successful... is there anything i can do to save them now or is 23 days too early?

Don't panic, they are just probably farther along than the person who gave you the eggs thought. You need to increase humidity, so add some more water to your incubator, and just leave one vent open. Stop turning the eggs, and then just don't open the incubator so the humidity can increase and hopefully things will go well for you.

thank you sharon! i will turn all the eggs back over to the same side and fingers crossed for the best. besides making sure all of the wells are full of water is there anything else i should do? maybe put a clean wet sponge in with them or anything else? i thought i had a little more time to prepare, i guess the turkeys had other ideas haha.
