This chick is three weeks old. I got one medium-light blue, one splash (like all my other splashes) and this baby. The first time I saw it, I thought maybe splash, but then a true splash hatched and I wasn't so sure. As it grows, to me, it seems just extremely light blue, almost a lavender tint (not actually lavender, obviously, since my Orp breeders are blues). Definitely, it's the lightest chick I've ever hatched from these, other than the splashes. The splash is a real creamy color and is getting some accent feathers already, just like all the other splashes I'm used to.

So, do you experts also think it's just a very light blue? Here is the baby at about a week old, then today:

I am no expert but Orps are my favorites.

I would call that a lavender color..??...It looks more lavender to me than a blue.....looks alot like my lavender orp chicks from hinkjc.

Very nice chick! That is a keeper!

Cynthia, I believe it will be splash. I have had some splash look almost blue before but they do get the splashes as they mature. I have one in the yard similar to that right now. No visible splashes and it has all the feathers in. A little older than yours. Some are what i would describe as blue splash, where most look like white splash if that makes sense.

That certainly does make sense, Julie. I've just never seen one like this from Suede and his ladies. And the splash with it is the type I'm used to, the creamy white with gray/blue accent feathers. I think it's just gorgeous.

Looks like a splash to me!

It may just be my computer, but it seems to be a blue with darker shades of blue...indicates splash. (Then again, my Acer is being sent into the shop ASAP.)
