It looks like my chickens have developed eye/face mites. What can I do to treat them? They are also molting and some have bare bums, so I'm wondering how to treat the entire bird, including their face.

Thanks for your time!

Do you mean the type that's scaly leg mites (scaly face mites) or regular mites?

By the fact that some have bare bums, I'm assuming these are the regular poultry mites.

I would use permetherin/garden powder on them. Some put it in a nylon sock and pat that all over them. Make sure to get under the wings and on the vent area. For the face, I'd put some on my hands to put on her face.

Thank you for your responses! I really appreciate it. I'm attaching two photos of the chickens with the most infestation on their wattles, ear lobes, and around their eyes. Upon closer inspection, I think they might be fleas (although we don't have any other animals). Have your chickens ever had them? If so, can you suggest an effective treatment? Thanks in advance
