Eye beak coordination is off.

My three week old ameraucana chick has the worst eye beak coordination. I will hold a mealworm in my hand and she will just peck and peck right above the worm an rarely succeed. I just don't understand my other chicks are dead on there target. Is there anyway I can help my chick improve? Sheds growing an getting enough food at least just.

She could be blind in one eye, affecting depth perception. Or poor eyesight in both eyes. Not much you can do about it except give her treats separately from the flock and make sure the feed and water are always kept in the exact same place all the time so she doesn't need to hunt for them.

Thank you! I'll be sure to give this chick extra attention, which she already gets so much more since my 6 week old chicks pick on her still.
