eye has pus

I'm not sure what is happening to the rooster's eye. Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

I see what look like tiny raised ulcers. Not sure what one would treat that with.

It could be some slight inflammation from a foreign particles or bacteria. You could try some Terramycin eye ointment for a couple days and see if there's improvement.

He may have scratched his eye due to irritation from debris lodged in the eye. I recommend liberally flushing the eye with saline solution and then applying terramycin eye ointment as mentioned by Michael Apple. If there isnt any improvement in several days, consider a course of gallimycin soluable powder mixed in water or a drop or two of tylan 50 injectable liquid into the eye once a day for 5 days.

The appearance of the conjunctiva usually is not sufficiently distinctive to suggest the etiologic agent, and specific diagnosis depends on history, physical examination, conjunctival scrapings and culture, Schirmer tear test, and occasionally biopsy. recurrence of FHV-1 conjunctivitis and keratitis.
