EYE INJURY, need advice....

I noticed yesturday that one of my pullets eye was swollen. Today it is even worse. Could she have gotten pecked? What do I do? Her face is swollen enough that her jaw is not aligned, so she is having problems eating.....
Any advise is greatly appreciated. thanks

Doesnt look like an injury, looks respiratory. Hope someone else can come along and help. If it were mine, I would be giving her tylan.

I don't know about tylan and I don't know about chicken medications, but sounds to me like she needs an antihistamine. Like benedryl or something, but I have no idea on the dose for a chicken.

Oh and what about a cold compress? You would have to hold her and apply for a good 15 min for it to be effective. An ice or gel pack wrapped in a cloth held in place would be what to use, if anyone thinks cold could work.

I agree with chickenlady. They need to be treated or you will lose all of them. Tylan....one teaspoon per gallon of water. There can be no other source of water except the Tylan. Use for 7 days.
