Eye injury or disease?

One of my EE's has a little opaque area on her cornea and most of the time keeps that eye shut. I just noticed it yesterday. It doesnt cover the whole cornea, just a part. Would that be some sort of injury, or a disease?

. It is looking better - now the spot is much smaller and she keeps her eye open now. I still dont know if it were some infection or injury, but it is getting better at least!
