So I just got 8 EE's from Ideal Thursday. All healthy, happy and full of vigor. Except one. She's the smallest of the batch, bout like a runt. She's been active, though I've seen her do a lot of sleeping as well.

Well, I just noticed one of her eyes is shut. Seems as though she was pecked? [IMG] and now keeps it shut. Its not crusted, or swollen, and she's eating and drinking, just seems to sleep (bodys way of recovering?) a lot. The eye lid just stays shut

What can I do to help her out? She's still in the brooder with the others, as I don't have a chance to get her a seperate area right now.

Appreciate any help yall can give me.

Oh, and the only meds I have on hand are Vit B Complex, Penecillin, and LA200. I do have Polyvisol, no iron added, which I added to thier water when they got here, seeing there was the one runt chick, I figured it couldn't hurt. [IMG]

maybe put a small drop of water on the eye, she could be keeping it closed because it hurts or has somthing in it

Well, she is fine this morning [IMG] Guess she got pecked or had somethin in it, but it seems to have resolved itself. I'll just keep an eye on her still though
